HURTIGRUTEN MAKES IT EASIER FOR TRAVEL AGENTS TO EARN FREE
NORWEGIAN COASTAL VOYAGE VACATIONS - BOOK THREE CABINS BY MARCH 31, 2009

New York, January 2009 -- Booking three cabins by March 31, 2009 on any of the company's 2009 products -- Norwegian Coastal Voyage (including Theme Cruises), Spitsbergen, Greenland or Antarctica -- is all it takes for an agent to be able hop aboard a modern Hurtigruten ship, for a six- or seven-day sailing between Oct. 1, 2009 and March 31, 2010. The ships make 34 ports of call along Norway's spectacular fjord-filled west coast between Bergen and Kirkenes, ranging from fishing villages in the rugged Lofoten Islands to Art Nouveau Alesund and bustling cities like Tromso and Trondheim. And the free agent cruise is in addition to Hurtigruten's generous commission rates. Bookings with deposits must be made between Feb. 1 and March 31, 2009 to be eligible. To help travel agents close the deal, Hurtigruten is also offering a litany of consumer specials (these offers cannot be combined):
  • Two Sail for the Price of One - companions sail free on voyages departing in February and September through December 2009. Normal cruise fares range from $1,309 to $4,029, per person, double, saving two passengers sharing a cabin $655 to $2,014 each.
  • "Layaway Getaway" - passengers booking any May-through-December 2009 departure can make monthly, no-interest payments - and can still cancel with a 100% refund up to 70 days before departure.
  • 25% Savings on Suites + Free Air For Antarctica - adventurers receive 25% off suite fares plus free air from NY and FL if when booking a November or December 2009 departure.
  • 25% Off and Free Hotel Nights in Bergen - guests sailing from May through August save 25% off standard cruise fares - and receive two free hotel nights in Bergen on 12-day itineraries and one free hotel night on six- and seven-day sailings.
  • Single Cabins Without the Supplement, and Upgrades - travelers preferring to sail solo from Jan. through March and Oct. through Dec. pay no single supplement- a savings of 25%, and receive complimentary upgrades, where available.
  • Senior Saver Special - a reduced rate is offered to seniors ages 60 and over, booking March or April voyages plus a reduced single supplement of 25% will apply to those who travel solo. The reduced rate drops the normal fare by as much as 50% on a 12-day March sailing in a mid-range, outside cabin
The free stateroom may be used by a CLIA or ARC travel agent, on select departures between October, 2009 and March, 2010; is not valid for group bookings; and is non-transferrable. The cruise tariff will be waived but additional taxes and surcharges may apply. Offer becomes valid when qualified books are paid in full (booking only is required by March 31 for eligibility).
