Our Scandinavian tours give you a taste of the Scandinavian culture. This program starts in Stockholm, Sweden's "Venice of the North." Continue by train and coach through the Swedish, Finnish, and Norwegian portions of Lapland to the Arctic mining town of Kirkenes. Here you'll board the Norwegian Coastal Voyage for its southbound voyage. Six days later, you'll arrive in bustling Bergen, for a tour of Norway's southern fjord country. Then, you'll spend a day in Oslo before cruising overnight to charming Copenhagen, Denmark.

Your Scandinavian Escorted Tour Itinerary Includes:

Day 1: Depart the U.S.
Board your overnight flight to Stockholm.

Day 2: Stockholm
Arrive at Arlanda Airport, meet your tour director, transfer to your hotel. The day is yours. Welcome dinner. [D]

Day 3: Stockholm
After breakfast, you'll tour Stockholm's top sights, including the "Golden Hall" at City Hall and the Old Town, with its cobblestone streets and 13th-century cathedral. You'll pass by the Royal Palace and Stock Exchange before traveling on to the island park of Djurgarden, once Sweden's royal hunting preserve and today home to several museums. The afternoon is free. Day 4: Stockholm-Night Train-Gallivare
Sightsee until the late afternoon, when you will transfer to the railroad station for the overnight express train to Swedish Lapland. [B/D]

Day 5: Gallivare-Karasjok
In the morning, arrive in mining town Gallivare. Transfer by motorcoach to Karasjok. Visit the Samiland Center to see Sami craftsmanship and dine in a traditional turf hut while sitting on reindeer skins around an open fire. [B/D]

Day 6: Karasjok, Kirkenes, Embarkation
Travel by motorcoach across tundra-covered hills, birch woods, and bogs to Kirkenes, where you'll embark on your Norwegian Coastal Voyage. [B/L/D]

Days 7-10: Norwegian Coastal Voyage
Your journey begins in Kirkenes, an Arctic outpost near Norway's border with Russia. Your ship sets course on a southbound passage making stops at 34 unique and picturesque ports before arriving in Bergen, a thriving harbor town with a history of more than 900 years of seaborne trade. [B/L/D]

Day 11: Bergen Disembarkation
In the afternoon you will arrive in Bergen for a guided tour of the city before the transfer to your hotel. [B/L]

Day 12: Bergen-Ulvik
After breakfast, drive by motorcoach past scenic waterfalls and lakes to Stalheim, where you will descend the hairpin turns of its canyon road through Naeroydal valley to Gudvangen, for a ferry cruise on the Sognefjord. Lunch in the village of Flam. Board the Flam Railway for a scenic ride up the mountains to the Myrdal station, where you transfer to the Bergen Railway for another thrilling ride to Voss; proceed by motorcoach to the delightful village of Ulvik. [B/D]

Day 13: Ulvik-Oslo
Continue to Bruravik, take a ferry across the Hardangerfjord to Brimnes. Drive along the Eidsfjord, through tunnels and around hairpin turns, to Fossli. See the Voeringfoss waterfall. Drive along the wild Hardangervidda mountain plateau and through the Hallingdal valley, with a stop at Hadeland Glassworks. Then, it's on to Oslo. [B]

Day 14: Oslo-Overnight on DFDS Seaways- Copenhagen
Tour Oslo with stops at the Vigeland Sculpture Park and Holmenkollen Ski Jump. Later, board the ship for Copenhagen. [B/D]

Day 15: Copenhagen Disembarkation
Transfer to hotel. Motorcoach tour past Tivoli Gardens, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, National Museum, Christiansborg Palace, the old Stock Exchange, and the Little Mermaid statue. Visit 17th-century Rosenborg Castle, the former Danish royal summer residence. You will have the afternoon free. In the evening you will enjoy a farewell dinner. [B/D]

Day 16: Depart Copenhagen
Arrive in the U.S. Transfer to the airport for your flight home. [B]
