This journey begins in Oslo, Norway's capital, where you'll have time to explore its many urbane attractions. Next, you'll board the Bergen Railway, which travels through scenic valleys and mountain plateaus to Norway's second-largest city, Bergen. Visit the charming, old Bryggen wharf or the Akvariet, one of Europe's largest collections of saltwater fish. In the evening, you'll embark on your thrilling Norwegian Coastal Voyage, sailing north to Kirkenes, an Arctic outpost along the border with Russia.

Day 1: Depart the U.S.
This evening, depart on your transatlantic flight to Oslo, Norway.
Day 2: Oslo, Norway
Arrive at Oslo Airport and transfer by train to downtown Oslo. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You might want to visit Oslo's landmark City Hall. Situated right on the waterfront, it's filled with artwork by prominent Norwegian artists, depicting events from the country's history. Use your Oslo Card, which provides free admission to most sites and unlimited access to the local public transportation system.
Day 3: Oslo, Norway
As part of your Norwegian cruise adventure you have another day to visit such attractions as the Akershus Fortress Museum, the Nobel Peace Center, and the Ibsen Museum. [B]
Day 4: Oslo-Bergen
Take the Bergen Railway on a breathtaking train journey to Bergen, the capital of Norway's fjord district. Transfer to your hotel. [B]
Day 5: Bergen Embarkation
Tour this historical port city during the day, before you embark on your Norwegian Coastal Voyage this evening. [B/D]
Days 6-10: Norwegian Coastal Voyage
Sail at a leisurely pace along Norway's fjord-lined coast. Highlights of your Norwegian cruise include the Art Nouveau architecture of Alesund, the spectacular Geirangerfjord (April 15-September 14), ancient Trondheim, and the magnificent Lofoten Islands. [B/L/D]
Day 11: Disembarkation Kirkenes-Oslo
Disembark in Kirkenes, fly to Oslo, and transfer to your downtown hotel. [B]
